Grounds Maintenance Operative Supervisor required.
We are a family run company based in Staines- upon- Thames and have been running for over 15 years. We are looking to hire an experienced person to join our team. Working hours are open to discussion and there is the potential for immediate start.
The key purpose of this role is to ensure all grounds maintenance activities undertaken are delivered to the highest possible standard as you will be maintaining public and private grounds.
Main duties and responsibilities
To liaise with appropriate line management to perform the required daily operations.
Maintaining a polite, respectful and helpful attitude at all times.
To deliver a high standard of work ensuring that the site is kept clean and tidy and free of litter.
To act accordingly as the face of the Company, and wearing the provided uniform at all times.
To operate equipment in a safe manner according to manufacturer’s guidelines, training, & company standards.
To operate in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
Maintaining good customer relations.
Be involved in proactively seeking new customers and growing the business.
Accurate and timely submission of any paperwork to line management.
Prioritise the workload to maximise output, quality and customer satisfaction.
Immediate reporting of accidents and other safety incidents in line with Company procedures
Minimum of 5 years experience in Gardening and Grounds Maintenance. Some of your duties would be grass cutting, digging, pruning, hedge trimming, strimming, mowing, flower bed maintaining, weeding and fertilising, and various other grounds maintenance tasks, and using a variety of tools and machinery (some where the relevant qualifications apply).
Will be required to perform soft and hard landscaping from time to time.
You must have a full and clean driving license.
Spraying license desirable.
A minimum of Level 2 NVQ in horticultural or land based services desirable.
Additional grounds maintenance duties as and when required.
Training will be provided.
A trial day will be arranged with you as part of our interview process.
This post is subject to a DBS check and Right to Work in the UK.
Monday to Friday 7:30am-5pm are the core hours, however start and finish times can be flexible for the right person.
